Edit a GPX route
Open an existing GPX, FIT or TCX file and reshape its route on the map — move points, add new ones or delete the parts you don't want — then download a clean GPX. Nothing is uploaded; everything runs in your browser.
How to edit a route
- 1
Open your file
Drop a .gpx, .fit or .tcx file. A dense track is simplified to editable points, with the original shown faintly underneath.
- 2
Reshape the route
Drag points to move them, click the map to add points, or click a point to delete it.
- 3
Download the result
Download your edited route as a clean .gpx file, ready for your device or app.
Frequently asked questions
- Why was my track simplified?
- A recorded activity can hold thousands of points, which can't all be dragged by hand. The tool reduces it to a manageable set of editable points while keeping the overall shape, and shows the original track faintly for reference.
- Does editing keep heart rate, time and other data?
- No. This tool edits the route geometry and exports a clean GPX route. To keep timestamps and sensor data, use the Trim or Merge tools instead.
- Can I open a FIT or TCX file?
- Yes. GPX, FIT and TCX are all read into the same model, and the edited route is exported as GPX.
- Are my files uploaded to a server?
- No. Everything runs in your browser. Your file never leaves your device.
