Build a route heatmap
Drop as many activities as you like to overlay every route on a single map. The roads and trails you ride or run most often build up and glow brighter. Nothing is uploaded — everything runs in your browser.
How to build a heatmap
- 1
Drop your activities
Select or drag in all the .gpx, .fit or .tcx files you want to include. You can add more at any time.
- 2
Watch the map build up
Every route is drawn on one map. Overlapping segments stack up and stand out where you go most often.
- 3
Refine your selection
Remove any file you don't want, or clear everything and start again. The map updates instantly.
Frequently asked questions
- How many files can I add?
- There is no hard limit — add a whole season of activities. Very large numbers of files will use more memory since everything is processed locally.
- Why do some areas look brighter?
- Each route is drawn semi-transparent, so wherever routes overlap the colour builds up. The more often you pass through a place, the brighter it gets.
- Can I mix formats?
- Yes. GPX, FIT and TCX files can all be added together — they are read into the same model before being drawn.
- Are my files uploaded to a server?
- No. Everything runs in your browser. Your files never leave your device.
