Edit splits & adjust time

Split your activity by kilometre — or any custom distance — and edit the time of each split. The point timestamps are recomputed accordingly and the total duration is the sum of your splits. Everything stays in your browser.

How to edit splits

  1. 1

    Select your file

Drop your .gpx, .fit or .tcx file onto the tool, or click to browse your device.

  2. 2

    Choose a split distance

Split every kilometre by default, or enter a custom distance. Each split shows its current time.

  3. 3

    Edit times and download

Type a new time for any split (mm:ss). Timestamps are recomputed, then download in the format you want.

Frequently asked questions

How is the time spread inside a split?
Within each split the pace is constant by distance, so every point's timestamp is interpolated between the split's start and end times. The total duration is the sum of all split times.
Can I use a custom split distance?
Yes. Set any distance in kilometres — for example 0.4 km for track laps or 5 km for long rides.
What if my file has no timestamps?
You can still assign a time to each split: the tool will generate timestamps from scratch, turning a plain route into a timed activity.
Are my files uploaded to a server?
No. Everything runs in your browser. Your file never leaves your device.
