Trim an activity file

Crop the start and end of a GPX, FIT or TCX activity — drag the sliders to keep only the part you want, then export. Useful for removing a warm-up, a forgotten stop or idle time. Everything stays in your browser.

How to trim an activity

  1. 1

    Select your file

Drop your .gpx, .fit or .tcx file onto the tool, or click to browse your device.

  2. 2

Frequently asked questions

What can I use trimming for?
Removing a warm-up before the real effort, idle time at a stop light, or a stretch you forgot to stop recording at the end of an activity.
Are distances and laps recalculated?
Yes. After trimming, the distance is rebased to zero at the new start and lap totals are recomputed from the kept points.
Are my files uploaded to a server?
No. Trimming happens entirely in your browser. Your file never leaves your device.
